Kogler's brain sculptures,
his iconic neural motif, are realized in luminous Murano glass in different
sizes, finishes and colours. Through traditional glassblowing techniques that
capture the intricate folds and contours of the brain's structure, the ancient
craft becomes a vehicle for contemporary expression. A motif representing
thought, connectivity and information systems throughout the artist's
decades-long practice, the brain takes on new life in transparent glass, where
light and material transform the familiar image into a three-dimensional form
that bridges digital aesthetics with ancient Venetian craft.
