Barovier&Toso's celebrated 1950s glass designs, these cylindrical tubes
showcase the ancient Venetian 'filigrana' technique, where delicate glass
threads are twisted and fused to create intricate linear patterns. For this
collaboration, a specific filigrana pattern was developed with Kogler to
closely embrace the aesthetic of his video art. The result reinterprets this
historic method through his signature vocabulary of interlocking lines and
geometric networks, uniting seven centuries of Murano craftsmanship with
contemporary digital sensibility.
